Obituary WALTER MARCASE Walter J. Marcase, age 77, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. He was born in the Coal Valley area of Jefferson Borough (now Jefferson Hills), Pennsylvania on February 10, 1943, one of three sons of Russell Curtis Marcase, Sr and Sara Belle (Boyd) Marcase. He worked for US Steel at the Irvin Works in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania as a Speed Operator. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Russell Marcase, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane (Brink) Marcase; two daughters, Kim (John) Opfar of Jefferson Hills and Della Conley of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, John L. (Nicolette) Opfar and Jamison Opfar; his brother, Robert “Butch” (Ann) Marcase of Irwin, Pennsylvania and two nephews, Robert (Tammy) Marcase and Aaron Marcase. Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills (412-384-0350) on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 4 – 7 pm.
