Vernon’s Obituary Vernon Everett Lewis, 59, of Houston, Texas formerly of Beaumont. Texas passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Lewis will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 @ 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Anthony Cemetery under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. a public viewing will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Vernon’s memories will forever remain in the hearts of his son, DeAndre Washington (Jessika) of Dallas, Texas; one granddaughter and three grandsons; (3) sisters, Mary Helen Hawkins of Houston, Texas, LaTonya Lewis and LaJuanda Collins both of Beaumont; one brother, Gary Banks of Beaumont; one aunt, Jerry Ann Ridgels of San Diego, California; one uncle, James Trotter (Doris) of Baker, Louisiana, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
