Thelma’s Obituary Thelma M. Roesch, 89, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospice House. Thelma was born on October 29, 1930, in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of the late Phillip and Teresa Montel. Thelma was married to Robert W. Roesch until his passing in 1982. She was a graduate of Greensburg High School and was employed by the PA Economy League until she married and moved to Johnsville, PA. There she worked at the Aviation Medical Acceleration Laboratory until the birth of her first child. Thelma reentered the work force in 1964 at Davidson and Hemmendinger in Palmer Twp. She became a computer programmer and was retained by Kollmogen Corp when they purchased the company. Thelma left to join Hugh R. Davidson in establishing Davidson Colleagues where they wrote programs for color matching and did consulting. Thelma was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, traveling, art, and doing crossword puzzles. Most important in her life were her beloved family and close friends. Thelma was a phenomenal cook and made every birthday and Christmas a celebration. She was “Hostess of the Mostest” throwing epic Fourth of July parties. Thelma was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, the Inter-Society Color Council, and the Federation of Societies for Coating Technology. When she first moved to Palmer Twp., she was active in the Junior Women’s Club of Easton. Thelma is survived by a daughter Rosanne Bittenbender; a son Robert D. Roesch and wife Jenny; two grandchildren Jason Bittenbender, and Teresa Bittenbender and husband Tom Frumkin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law Denis D. Bittenbender. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 8, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
