Terry’s Obituary Terry Wayne Sutton, 67, of Smith, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side. Born May 6, 1952 in Harlan County, he worked as a coal miner for many years and believed in the Baptist faith. He was preceded by his parents, Walter Sutton and Jeanette Middleton Sutton; two brothers, Jerry Sutton and Randy Sutton; and one sister, Regina Sutton Middleton. Terry is survived by his wife, Mary Barnwell Sutton, Smith; two children, Felicia Scott, Smith and Rikki Middleton, Cawood; and two boys who were like his own, Andrew Stewart, Smith and Danny Stewart, Cranks; one sister, Debbie Owens and husband, David, Coxton; and one grandchild, Maisie Scott, Smith. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020, in the chapel of the Harlan Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 8 p.m. with the Reverend Derek Jeffers and the Reverend Joe Howard officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Harlan Funeral Home is charge of his arrangements. Read More
