Sue’s Obituary Thoene, Sue M. (nee Pelster), asleep in Christ, Monday, February 24, 2020. Beloved wife of the late William F. Thoene; dearest mother of Kevin (Theresa) Thoene, Karen (Kevin) McKenzie and Jeff (Kate) Thoene; dear grandmother of Jeremy (Melissa), Jason and Ryan Thoene, Katie, Megan, Michael and Matthew McKenzie and Cara and Jack Thoene; great-grandmother of Jacob Thoene and Olivia McDiffett; sister of Ruth (the late Gerald) Seaman; our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend. Sue loved music and was the drum major at Walbridge School. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and dancer. Sue and her late husband Bill spent many weekends polka dancing with their friends. She was also involved in the Girl Scouts as a troop leader. Perhaps her longest running hobby was watching Cardinals baseball. She was the Cardinals #1 fan and for many years made sure to watch every game. Sue’s greatest passion, though, was spending time with her friends, children, and grandchildren. To her, nothing was more important than family and they are the most meaningful legacy she leaves behind. Services: Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday, March 2, 11:00 a.m. until time of Scripture service at 12:00 p.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Cardinals Care. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com. Read More
