No services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Strother was born on January 21, 1946 in Indianola to William and Lillie (Case) Plummer. He grew up in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School in 1962. He married Carolyn Sue Reeder on October 22, 1965 in McAlester. Strother had worked for Ward’s Service Station on Main Street and as head ordinance man for the U.S. Naval Depot in the 1960’s. He was trained as an x-ray technician at General West Hospital and retired from McAlester Regional Health Care Center in 1985. Strother enjoyed following national politics and enjoyed motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Lillie Plummer and an infant daughter: Paula Gene Plummer. Strother is survived by his wife: Carolyn; son: Jimmy Plummer; granddaughter: Hunter-Victoria Paula Jean Plummer; sister: Helen Lee; and nephew: Leland Dwayne Lee, all of McAlester. Print Obituary
