Obituary Stephen P. Tancek, 88, of Mingo Junction, passed away February 27th, 2020 at Lancia Villa Vista nursing home. He was born April 7, 1931, in Newtown, OH, a son of the late Paul and Helen (Keyoski) Tancek. Stephen was a former letter carrier with the United States Postal Service in Toronto, was a devout member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Saints Louis and Elizabeth Franciscan Order Fraternity, Knights of Columbus, and was a U.S. Airforce Veteran who served in Korea and Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, and sister Margaret Paulina. Stephen is survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Stephen’s special friends, Thuy Hermann and Huu Do for the care and compassion they showed him. Friends will be received Sunday, March 1st from 3-7p.m. at Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Ave., Mingo Junction. A vigil service will be held at 6p.m. Friends will also be received Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 204 St. Clair Ave., Mingo Junction, from 10a.m. until time of mass as 11a.m. with Father James Dunfee serving as celebrant.
