Stanley Thomas Wilsey, 69, of Norman, OK, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2020. One day shy of his seventieth birthday, he was born on February 25, 1950, in Oklahoma City, the second of four children to Willard Lysle Wilsey, Jr. and Mary Sue Wilsey. He attended Northwest Classen High School where he competed in swimming. After graduating high school he served in the United States Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk during combat operations in Vietnam. He also served in the Philippines. After concluding his service in the Navy, he returned home to Oklahoma eventually studying engineering at the University of Oklahoma. A loving father of three children, he is preceded in death by Tiffany Summer Wilsey. He is survived by Kendal Renae Williams and Clayton Thomas Wilsey. Kendal is married to Stan Williams II, parents to his two grandchildren, Wyatt Gage Williams (7) and Daiya Reese Williams (6). Known affectionately as “Pops”, his grandchildren are excited for his new life in heaven with a new, healthy body, though quite curious as to how exactly he travelled to heaven whether by balloon, wind, clouds or what. Clayton is recently married to Jacquelyn Wilsey. Devoted to his family and his craft, Stan was constantly pursuing his career as a Landman. Family summer vacations from Lake Murray to Clinton occasionally centered around the local Oklahoma hotspots near county seats he was working at the time. Through booms and busts of the Oklahoma oil and gas industry, Stan played numerous critical roles from Crew Chief in the field to working as an in-house Landman to serving in various leadership roles in the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen. A come-and-go Celebration of Life in honor of Stan will be held on Sunday, March 1, from noon to 3 p.m. at the family home to remember and celebrate his life.
