Stan’s Obituary James Stanley Rash III (“Stan”), age 59, was born September 6, 1960, in Vallejo, California, to James S. Rash, Jr. and Roxana L. O’Leary of Napa, California. He entered into rest February 12, 2020, in Chico, California. A private memorial service is planned to be held later in the year. Stan was loving and giving by nature. He was always there to help a friend in need. He was loyal and true friend to many. A welder by trade after discharge from the U.S. Air Force, Stan was a member of the Iron Worker’s Union until his retirement. Stan shared his love and life with his life partner, Valerie Howe, until she predeceased him in 2015. Stan was survived by his siblings Lucinda Trusdale of Houston, Texas, Laurel (Tim) Reader of Santa Rosa, California, Gregory (Holly) Rash of Citrus Heights, California, and a granddaughter Kaylyn Rash. He also left behind his “adoptive” family, Joni Boykin (Valerie’s daughter), her husband Corey, their children and grandchildren, and Val’s sons, Robert Leblanc and Joseph Leblanc. He was preceded in death by his parents; his boys, son, James Rash IV (“Jimmy”) and stepson, Nicholas Mitchell; his life partner, Valerie Howe; and his younger brother Gordon L. Rash. Read More
