Shelby’s Obituary Mrs. Shelby Thompson, 75, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Thompson was born in Hickoria, AR., on January 9, 1945. She retired from L.A. Darling Store Fixtures after 32 years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing softball, and spending time with family and friends. She attended Palatka Church of Christ. She married her husband of 55 years Mr. Ed Thompson on October 24, 1964. He survives, other survivors include her children Darrin Thompson of Corning, AR., Sherry and husband Duwayne Ray of Corning, AR., Cathy and husband Jimmy Leach of Corning, AR.; brother James White of Black Rock AR.; sister Darlene Emmons of Pocahontas, AR.; grandchildren Haley, Jay, and Blayne; great-grandchildren Bentley and Caden. She was preceded in death by her parents Velmer James and Dorothy Lee (Mitchell) White; brother Glen Alfred White; sister Shirley Lee Luttrell; and special niece Arielle “Nikki” Emmons. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 7, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will follow in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
