She was born on December 31, 1962, in New Orleans, LA, to Albert David Oakman, Sr. and Ruby Jewell Fairchild Oakman. She was a caregiver who loved caring for elderly people, as well as gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Preceding her in death were her father, Albert David Oakman, Sr.; and son, Aaron Jewel Steckler. Survivors are her mother, Ruby Oakman; husband, Mitch Turner; daughter, Danielle Steckler (Michael Bardwell, Jr.); son, Eric Steckler, Jr. (Cassie Rawling); grandchildren, Christian Steckler and ArryAnna Rushing; sisters, Juanita Weaver and her husband John, Kelly Kohnert and husband Trent, Ginger Brown and husband Danny, and Angie Wallace and husband Terry; brother, Albert David Oakman, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
