Sam Brown, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Sam was born on September 14, 1938. Sam was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting and turkey hunting. He retired from North Georgia EMC, after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Staten Brown; grandson, Brandon Brown (Lindy); parents, Bertha and Ernest “Dutch” Brown; brother, Houston Brown. Sam is survived by his wife, Teresa “Jane” Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Eddie Hughes; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Terri Brown; grandson, Blake (Darla) Brown; granddaughter, Cheyanne Brown; great grandsons, Hunter Brown and Colt Brown; great granddaughters, Kaitlyn Brown, Mandy Brown and Hallie Brown; sisters, Pat McFalls and Barbara Teasley; stepchildren, Allen Quillin, Stefani Glover, Scott Pittman and Tiffany Reeves; 7 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Friday evening at Dalton Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. A memorial service will follow at a later date at Amazing Grace Community Church by Rev. Brandon Chastine where Sam was a founding member.
