Obituary Russell George Najjar, of Norwood, passed away suddenly, February 3, 2020 while vacationing in Aruba. He was 67 years old. Russ was a loving brother and uncle always ready to help his family in any way he could. All you had to do was pick up the phone and he was there. Russ thoroughly enjoyed vacationing in Aruba where he spent his last few days. He loved to cook and make Syrian pastry, especially baklawa, for family and friends. When anyone lucky enough to eat his pastries commented on how delicious they tasted he was elated. He loved working on cars with his nephew Keith which brought him endless joy. He also liked to listen to music, dance and go to the casino. Russ will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Alice Najjar and brother, Ronald. Russ is survived by his siblings Lorraine Hamwey of Norwood, Joseph Najjar, Jr. and his wife Mary of Acton, Craig Najjar of Norwood, and sister-in-law Veronica Amici of Oak Park, CA as well as many loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 10:00 am at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring Street, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
