Rose’s Obituary Smithfield- Rose Marie Deans Mitchell, age 71, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born on June 11, 1948 in Wilson County she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Deans and Eleanor Taylor Deans. She is preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Lamm and brother, Bobby Deans. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with a burial to follow at Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery in Lucama. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 pm. Mrs. Rose is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tony Mitchell; son, James Brantley of Selma, daughters, Rhonda Tant and husband Robbie of Selma and Lisa Johnson of Buckeye, AZ; brothers, James Deans and wife Helen of Bailey, Jesse Deans and wife Loann of Carmichael, CA, and Ronnie Deans and wife Carol of Lucama; sister, Joann Davis and husband Wayne of Ayden; five grandchildren, Wesley Brantley, Heather Scott, Destiny Tant, Lyle Johnson Jr., and Blake Johnson; four great grandchildren, Ayen Duthie, Addyson Duthie, Allan Roger Scott III, and Andrew Scott.
