Roger was called to be with our Lord on February 27,2020 at the age of 51. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, father Ricardo Sanchez; mother Irene DeLeon Sanchez; and sister Betty Jean Rodriguez. Roger is survived by his wife Carla Granado-Sanchez; son Roger Sanchez Jr.; Daughters Julia (Scott) Dupont and Alyssa (Phillip Briseno) San Miguel; brother Richard (Gina) Sanchez Jr.; sisters Merlinda (Richard) Alvarez, Susanna (Efrain “Rick” Gonzales) Prado, and Sylvia Cantu; grandchildren Krista Bella and Joshua Briseno; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Roger loved listening to his old school Tejano music and enjoyed his Bud Lights. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and loved to bar-b-que. He was a very hard worker at CMC and will be dearly missed by his co-workers and customers. He loved his son dearly. He also loved his “girls” very much and there wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for his kids. His grandchildren were his world. Grandpa Sanchez spoiled them. His pets “Ashley”, “Daisy” and “Jim” were his fur babies. You left us so many wonderful memories to remember you by. Your contagious smile will be missed. Thank you Babe for the wonderful years we shared. We will always love you. Please come and join the family of Roger Sanchez as we gather to pay tribute to a wonderful person and reflect back on all the great memories. Services are as follows: Tuesday – March 3, 2020 4pm – 9pm- Visitation will be held at the Texas Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. Wednesday – March 4, 2020 8am – 9am – Visitation at Texas Funeral Home Chapel 9:15am – Departure from the funeral home 10am – Catholic Mass at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 11150 Macdona – Lacoste Rd., Atascosa, TX 78002 11:30 – Cemetery services at San Fernando II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237 ***Service will be led by police procession*** Print Obituary
