Robert’s Obituary Robert Ray Hanley, 86, of Belleville, WV, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 21, 1933, in Wood County, WV, a son of the late Thomas A. and Della Bartlett Hanley. Robert was a devoted father. He worked at the Rig and Reel, State Road and retired from the Board of Education as a custodian. Robert was a member of Faith Gospel Church. He enjoyed farming. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Hanley; one daughter, Barbara J. Gunsch (John) of Belpre; two sons, Donald R. Hanley (Punk) of Belleville and Roger W. Hanley (Missy) of Washington, WV; eight grandchildren, Sabrina Fortney, Seth Gabbert, Jessi Coulter, Cristy Smith, Alicia Kampfer, Sarah Hanley, Laura Hanley and SaraEmily Gordin; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his five sisters, Edna Beckett, Mary McDonough, Maxine Houser, Sharon Jean Hanley and Kathryn Joann Hanley; and one brother, James Hanley. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Sean Law officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
