Robert’s Obituary Robert “Bob” L. Stephens, age 80, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home in Topeka. Bob was born July 28, 1939 in Rio Tinto, Nevada, the son of Ralph and Gladys (Ballew) Stephens. Bob graduated from Willis High School in 1958. He married Jo Ellen Bartley November 25, 1961. They later divorced. He married Linda Dickinson Meehan December 22, 1984 in Hiawatha, KS. Bob worked as a produce manager for Lindy’s Thriftway for over 22 years. Bob attended Silver Lake Baptist Church. Bob was active with various churches throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Gene Long and Bill Imhoff. He is survived by his wife, Linda Stephens of Topeka; a son, Kenneth (Dawn) Stephens of Topeka; a daughter, Marcella (Derek) Barker of Topeka; three sisters, Joan Long of Hiawatha, Beverly Tollefson of Hiawatha and Anita Imhoff of Emporia; four grandchildren, Derek Stephens, Althea Jante, Cody Barker and Trenton Barker and one great grandson, Carter Jante. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Silver Lake Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the church.
