Obituary Robert Eugene Adkins, 73, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 31, 2020. He retired from American Enka/ Lenzing Fibers after 32 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Myrtle Adkins; sister Louise Graham; grandson, Cody Shane Adkins; niece, Tabitha Graham; and nephew, John Graham. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Peggy Adkins; children, Robert (Katherine) Adkins Jr., Ted (Lisa) Adkins, Kevin Adkins, and James (Kimberly) Adkins; grandchildren, Corey (Heather) Adkins, Dorian (Matt) Snyder, Kasi Adkins, Hunter Adkins, Hayden Adkins, Spencer Adkins, Kaitlynn Adkins, Mikayla Adkins, Tucker Holt, and Kourtni (Randy) Combs; great grandchildren, Michael Kurtis Adkins, Rylee Faith Adkins, Carson Dean Combs, and Lily Shane Adkins; brother, Gary (Debbie) Adkins; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Sunday, February 2, 2020 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 PM, with the Reverend Todd Ricker officiating. Interment will be 11 AM, Monday, February 3, 2020 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
