Robert “Butch” Allen Hunter May 17, 1944 – February 19, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Robert “Butch” Allen Hunter, age 75, of Sandusky passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at McLaren Port Huron. Butch was born May 17, 1944 in Detroit to the late Leslie and Edith (Castor) Hunter. He served his country in the United States Navy. Butch married Judith Scott on May 27, 1972 in Sandusky. He worked as a carpenter for many years and enjoyed hunting, woodworking and other outdoor activities such as flying remote control airplanes. Butch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith Hunter; sister and brother-in-laws, Sandra (Doug) Higgins, Gordon (Jill) Scott and Susan Smith; good friends, Bill and Judy Smith; many nieces and nephews; and his favorite dog, Bella. He was preceded in death by three brothers, including Lewis James Hunter; three sisters; and his mother and father-in-law, Gordon and Betsy Scott. The Family will receive visitors from 4-8 PM Sunday, February 23, 2020 and from 12 PM until the time of service Monday, February 24, 2020 at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Monday, February 24, 2020 at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky with Reverend Jerry Griggs officiating.
