Obituary Robert A. Benoit, 66, of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his home in Uxbridge after a long illness. Robert was born in Taunton, MA on September 7, 1953 to the late Raymond and Irene (Langlois) Benoit. A longtime city resident, Robert attended Taunton schools. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a truck driver for Pimenta Trucking Company for many years. Robert enjoyed bowling and was a former member of the Sunday Night Mixed League at Taunton Ten Pin Bowl. He was a part of the Morton Hospital Organization for the Blind; a former active member of the Old Colony Y.M.C.A. of Taunton and a longtime communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton. Robert was also a daily visitor of the Colonial Donut Shop in Taunton. Robert is survived by his three sisters, Linda Aronson and husband Allan of Uxbridge, MA, Sandra Beauvais of Taunton and Cynthia Elizardo and husband Joseph of Taunton. He is also survived by his goddaughter Melissa Broomhead of Taunton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was also the brother of the late Brenda Pina and brother in-law of Edward Pina, of Taunton. Robert will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 11:00AM in the St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 East Britannia St., Taunton, MA 02780.
