Richard’s Obituary Richard John Roeger, 66, passed away suddenly Monday, February 17, 2020, of complications from lung cancer at Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas. Richard John Roeger was born in Amarillo, TX on January 26, 1954, to Alfred John Roeger and Lois Cornelia Crowley. He graduated from South Garland High School in 1972 and received an Associate’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from Eastfield Community College. Rick worked as a design engineer at E-Systems, L-3 Communications, and Raytheon. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Michael Marin. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Roeger, of Garland; grandson, Grayson Roeger, son, Rusty Roeger and wife, Melissa, of Overland Park, KS; son, Kent Roeger and fiancé, Maggie Bates, of Robinson, TX; son, Colin Roeger of Fort Worth; sister, Ann Marin of Garland; as well as many beloved family members, friends, and former coworkers. Services: A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 4:00 pm at First Christian Church of Garland.
