St. Martinville, LA - A Home-going Celebration will be held for Mr. William Gerard (BB) Benjamin 60, at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at House of Love Ministry with Rev. Oscar Gray, officiating.
He will await the resurrection in House of Love Ministry Cemetery in St. Martinville, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the church at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
A resident of St. Martinville, LA he passed at 12:30 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA.
He was a former member of Faith Cathedral in New Iberia, LA and was employed by Cajun Chef in St. Martinville, LA for several years.
He leaves to mourn his passing, one daughter: Monica Pierre (Brian ) of Carencro, LA; two brothers: Jessie Benjamin, Jr. (Philomena) of St. Martinville, LA and Vincent Benjamin of Baton Rouge, LA; eight sisters: Mary Demouchet (Rene) of New Iberia, LA, Elizabeth Long, Pauline Batiste (Felton), Geraldine Benjamin, Margaret Ledet all of St. Martinville, LA, Catherine Benjamin of Oklahoma City, OK, Carolyn Steward (Wilson) of Lake Charles, LA and Latonia Douglas (Renard) of Baton Rouge, LA; eight grandchildren; one special niece: Janay Batiste of St. Martinvillle, LA; one special nephew: Travis Benjamin of St. Martinville, LA; one godchild: Kelly Long of Lafayette, LA and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jessie Benjamin, Sr. and Lorena James; one sister: Valerie Benjamin; one brother-in-law: Arthur Ledet; paternal grandparents: George and Amanda Benjamin and maternal grandparents: Arthur and Florence Jacob.
Active Pallbearers: Adam Ledet, Kelly Long, Travis Benjamin, Johnathan Benjamin, Albert Hill and Arthur Ledet.
