Obituary Salley – Mr. Purman Chavis, 89, entered into rest on Tuesday February 11, 2020. Mr. Purman was the son of the late Mattie Simmerman Chavis and the late Spurgeon Daniel Chavis. He was the brother of Mary Mattie Chavis Hallowell. He is preceded in death by his siblings Cresy Brunson, Eva Williamson, Eldridge Chavis, Charles Chavis, Betty Smith, Dillie Bairefoot, and Robert Chavis. He has many nieces and nephews. Mr. Purman was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an employee of Hickman Mills for 30 years. Visitation will be 1:30 to 3 pm on Sunday February 16, 2020 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral Service will be 3 pm on Sunday February 16, 2020 also at the chapel.
