Obituary Phillip E. Leahy III, a 20 year resident of Mohegan Lake died suddenly on February 19, 2020. He was 56. He was born on July 7, 1963 to Ellen (Grady) Leahy and the late Dr. Phillip E. Leahy of Somers, NY. He leaves two cousins, Daniel Leahy and James Leahy of Washingtonville, NY. Born in Manhattan and raised in Eastchester and Newburgh, he graduated from Iona Grammar School in New Rochelle and Fordham Prep in the Bronx, and received a Bachelor’s degree in business from SUNY New Paltz. Shortly after graduation he went to work at J.P. Morgan for several years. Phil recently retired from Southern Westchester BOCES as a computer network specialist. He was proudest of acquiring his Irish citizenship through his late Great Grandmother, Mary Ryan Leahy of Tipperary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery , Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday, February 26 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow. A memorial luncheon will follow at Sergio’s Restaurant in Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Yorktown Heights, NY. would be appreciated.
