Obituary Pauline Helms Lovett passed away at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia on February 05, 2020. Born to Henry and Eugenia Sewell Helms on January 22, 1928, in Wilcox County Georgia, Pauline was raised in the Wilcox County area with her three siblings. Pauline married her husband Delma Lovett on February 12, 1944. Together they built a loving home for their two children: Charlene Gunn (Charles) and Michael Lovett (Rita). They eventually settled in Dawson, Georgia where they raised their family and made lifelong friends. Pauline was a treasured member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Dawson, Ga. where her husband, Delma served as a Deacon and music director. Every Sunday you could find Pauline in the first pew, teaching her grandchildren how to find bible scripture and sing from a hymnal. The sound of Pauline humming along to the tune of her favorite hymn often filled her home. She accepted everyone as they are, was a joy to laugh with and a source of great comfort to all who knew her. She was a kind and gentle soul who shared her faith in God with everyone and we ask that you treasure her memory by sharing the gospel. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three siblings, Hazel Gordon, Arnold Helms and Juanice Luther. She is survived by her children: Charlene Gunn (Charles) & Michael Lovett (Rita), her grandchildren: Stephanie Larkin (Chris), Jennifer Lovett, Trey Fulford (Samantha) and Kimberly Fowler (Kenny), her great grandchildren: Kayla Amato (Michael), Clayton Hall (Taylor), Cory Givens (Trinity), Conner Givens (Hannah), Alexandra Larkin, Gabrielle Pelham, Luke Larkin, Madeline Larkin, Caitlynn Howell, Rebecca Fulford, Abigail Fulford, Caleb Fowler and Khloe Fowler and her great-great grandchild: Iris Givens. The family will have visitation at Harvey Funeral Home in Dawson, Ga. at 12:00 p.m. on February 7, 2020. Pastor Dick Gill, of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, will officiate the funeral service at Harvey Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. and interment will follow at Christian Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rochelle, Ga., Wilcox County.
