Pat Albers of Appleton WI passed away on February 19, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born on October 12, 1936 in Winona, Minnesota. Pat was the daughter of Frank and Fran Menzel. She attended high school at Cotter High in Winona and graduated in 1954. Pat married Robert (Bob) Albers in 1956 and together they had 4 sons. Bob enlisted in the Air Force and they lived in California on Castle Air Force Base for 7 years. Next the family was stationed in Sembach, Germany where they lived for 3 years. After Germany, their family moved to Menasha, WI while Bob served in Vietnam. After his tour of duty, they moved back to Germany and lived there until Bob retired in 1972. Pat stayed at home and raised the 4 boys. In later years, Pat worked at Advocap until her retirement. After her retirement, Pat enjoyed boating and spending time in Door County. She also liked to knit and enjoyed puzzle books and her parakeet Rascal. Pat is survived by her four sons; Mark, David (Judy and Nicholas), Scott (Skyler and Tanner) and James (Phillip). She was preceded in death by her parents and her very close and special friend Lee Wittman. The family will hold a private service at a later date. They would like to thank Rennes Health Center for their care and compassion while Pat was a resident. Pat will be missed by her family and friends.
