Odette Palmer Cagle, 73, of Denton, died Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020, at New Hope United Methodist Church, Denton, with Rev. Bobby Lorton and Rev. Derald Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Cagle was born on August 16, 1946 in Randolph Co., to the late Joseph Palmer and Mary Leonard Palmer. She was retired and was also a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and had completed CNA courses at RCC. Mrs. Cagle loved crocheting, quilting, and doing crafts. She had a fondness for flowers and light houses and loved her grandkids. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nadine Tucker. She is survived by her husband, Willie “Bill” Cagle Jr. of the home; daughters, Kerry Vanover (Roger), Kimberly Sarks (Roger); grandchildren, Taylor Sarks (Isabella), Kailey Welborn (Michael), Kori Haltom (Mark), Tessa Vanover; great grandchildren, Kennedie Welborn, Lennox Welborn, baby Blayne who is expected in April; sisters, Jodi Sibbett, Carolyn Carlise (Doyle); father-in-law, Willie Dyle Cagle Sr., and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
