Obituary FREMONT – MSgt. Mark D. Lane, U.S. Army (Ret.), 66, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020. The family will receive friends and relatives at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2020. MSgt. Lane was born in Cumberland County, ME on May 21, 1953. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from which he retired after 21 years of dedicated service. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Lane; son, Mark Lane, Jr. and wife, Darrah; grandchildren, Taylor Lane, Nina James Lane, Emma Cecilia Lane, Rowan Caiazzo Lane, Brianna Lynn Austin; former spouse, Mary L. Lane; mother, Mary E. Lane; sister, Donna Lane; and brothers, Harold Lane, Peter Lane, and Matthew Lane. His father, Harold Lane preceded him in death.
