Obituary Funeral services for Miriam Mabel Tittle, 93, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Haven of Memories in Canton. Miriam passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, in Overton. Miriam Mabel Hixon was born on April 24, 1926, in Troup, TX, to parents, Irvin Ernest Hixon and Mary Louise Burton Hixon. She was raised in Troup and graduated from Carlisle High School in 1945. Miriam married Clarence Melton Tittle on October 4, 1949, and they made their home in Dallas. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator for thirty-one years. After Miriam retired in 1976, she and Clarence moved to Edgewood. Miriam became a Christian in April of 1957, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Edgewood. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Mary Hixon; husband, Clarence M. Tittle; daughter, Debra Ann Tittle; sister, Bonnie Hixon Kee; brother, Irvin Burton Hixon; nieces, Karen Bond and Sharon Lynn Hixon. Miriam is survived by her nieces, Jacqueline Creech of Carthage, TX, Patty Campbell of Arp, TX, and Brenda Hixon Wilusz; nephews, Johnny Kee and wife, Becky of Bullard, TX, and Scott Bond of Magnolia, TX; sister-in-law, Frances Hixon; along with many other relatives and friends.
