Melinda Sue Bowman May 24, 1985 – February 16, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Melinda Sue Bowman, 34, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her residence after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her father the late Roger Williams and her mother Charlotte Sue Bowman and her step-father Leon Davis. She was preceded in death by her step-father: Leon Davis. Melinda was a homemaker. She loved arts & crafts, loved playing basketball and loved animals. She was a member of East Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her fiancé Richard Sproles, A daughter: Haley Ellison. Her sister: Tracy Bowman. Two Nephews: Jimmy Hathaway and Ethan Savage. Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Scalf Cemetery, Watauga with Pastor Roy Yelton officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Richard Sproles, Ethan Savage, Robert Blass, Brandy Miller, Ashley Babb and Steve Graham. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Kenneth Harless, Linda Bowman, Jerry Bowman, Pastor Roy Yelton and members of the East Oakland Avenue Baptist Church.
