Larry Kremling officiating. Mrs. Champion passed away February 27, 2020 at her home. She was born on December 29, 1949 in Dallas to Raymond Washington and Mildred Pauline (O’Rear) Lynch. Melba is survived by her daughter Janet Rucks; son Richard Champion and his wife Sandra of Gainesville; grandchildren Lisa Spikes and husband Ashley, Kay Coder and Preston Emert, Dean Champion and wife Valorie, Emily Howard and husband James, Mamie Butcher and husband Adam, Dustin Rucks; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Champion was preceded in death by her husband Curley, son-in-law Chuck of Gainesville, and one great-grandson.
