Giuliano June 24, 1933 – February 04, 2020 Share this obituary View/Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Matilda J. “Tillie” Giuliano, 86, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Venice, FL, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2020. Born on June 24, 1933 in Hartford to the late Anthony and Lucy (Pappalardo) Giuliano. She graduated from Bulkeley High School, Salutatorian, Class of 1951. Tillie graduated Summa Cum Laude (BA) from St. Joseph College and received an MA in education from the University of Hartford. She taught English at the Kennelly School for 25 years. Tillie was a scholar, and avid reader and world traveler. She loved music, dancing and the arts. Tillie is survived her two loving and devoted sisters Lucy Ashline and Tina DiMaria of Rocky Hill and Fort Lauderdale, FL. She also leaves behind, nephew Todd and his wife Doris DiMaria of NC, a niece Lucida and her husband Michael DeLorenzo of Berlin and nephew Luke DiMaria of Rocky Hill as well as six great nephews and nieces, one great-great nephew and many cousins. Tillie was predeceased by her beloved brother Joseph S. Giuliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 11am in St. Josephine Bakhita Church, St. James Campus 767 Elm St. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tillie’s name to the Alzheimer Association, 200 Executive Blvd. Suite 4B Southington, CT 06489. Tillie’s final care has been entrusted to her nephew Luke and his children Luke Jr. and Tianna of the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, Rocky Hill.
