Mary Wages April 08, 1941 – February 15, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card MARY LOUISE WAGES Mary Wages, 78, of Gainesville, MO passed away February 15, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, MO. She was born April 8, 1941 in Eddyville, IA to Earnest and Effie (Lund) Brandon. Mary worked for 21 years at Collis Company in Clinton, IA before moving to Gainesville, MO in 1978 and going to work for Baxter Lab in Mtn. Home, AR. She retired after 33 years at Baxter. In all her working career, both at Collis, and at Baxter, Mary never missed one day of work. She was a kind, friendly and hardworking woman. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put her kids first. Mary is survived by her five children Laura Faye Skinner-Hamann- Paulsen and husband David of Lehigh Acres, FL, Bobby Lorne Wages Jr of Davenport, IA, Donald Eugene Wages and wife Dorene of Caulfield, MO, Richard Dean Wages and wife Carolyn of Gainesville, MO and Luther Ray Wages of Gainesville, MO; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one sister Laura Mae Still and husband Fred of Louisiana, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband James Wesley Holliday; her second husband Robert Lorne Wages; eight siblings Richard, Tommy, Harold, Effie, Donald, Robert, Helen and Dean; and grandchildren Nick, Ameila, Demi and Johnathon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Jeff Dotson officiating. The family will honor Mary’s wish for cremation following services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
