Mary H. Pleak April 15, 1934 – February 12, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mary Helen Pleak,85 of Avon, passed away on February 12, 2020. She was born April 15, 1934 in Indianapolis to Luther Leroy and Jennie Mae (Shaw) Ambler. Mary was a graduate of Ben Davis High School. She was married to Orian Ervin Pleak on May 5, 1956 at Westside Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. Mary worked for a short time at Herff Jones before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Westside Nazarene and Grace Point Nazarene. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crafting, and working in her flower beds. Though her memory faded, she will be cherished in our memories, and we can rest easy knowing she is no longer battling the disease that took her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Donald Ambler and Leroy Ambler, her sisters Bertha Pfisterer, Clara Gaston, Ann Ambler, Evelyn Yawn, and Ida Stoehr. She is survived by her husband Orian, her twin sister Margie Evans of Greenwood, her son Larry (Lucy) Pleak of Avon, her daughters Ginger (Larry) Denker of Amo, Vicki Pleak of Indianapolis, and Penny (Robert) Redington of Indianapolis, and two grandchildren Victor and Heather. A funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday February 19, 2020 at Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel with Visitation 11am-1pm before the Service. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for their love and support during this journey.
