Obituary More than a century after her birth, Martha June Scott Walton died Tuesday evening, February 25, 2020, at the Ohio Valley Manor. She was 103. June was born June 14, 1916, in Adams County, Ohio, to the late Frank Ransom and Cora Lee Scott. She was a graduate of Manchester High School. She married the late Wilson Walton in 1935 and together they raised four children. She was a homemaker and farmer and was seasonally employed by the Union and New Farmers Warehouses in Ripley, Ohio. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and its UMW group and was named a Kentucky Colonel. Her remaining family will miss her quick wit and the twinkle in her eye. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William P. Scott, her sons, Johnny and Joel, and her daughter, Kay Haag. She is survived by daughter, Arlene Hall of Mays Lick, KY and four grandchildren, Kristen Kennedy (Michael) of Kenner, LA, David Valdez (Sonya) of Friendswood, TX, Allison Haag of New Orleans, LA and Keith Hall (Leah) of Prospect, KY, along with ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Manchester Cemetery in Manchester, Ohio. To send flowers to Martha’s family, please visit our floral section.
