Aziz passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side on January 11, 2020, after a brief illness. Born and raised on Prospect Hill in Lawrence, Mass., to Louis and Velma Allard, Marilyn graduated from Lawrence High School, attended McIntosh Business School, then worked at AVCO until the birth of her first child. Marilyn married the love of her life, Richard, making their home in Methuen. Marilyn was an avid reader and loved to play cards and all types of games with her family. She was a great cook and loved to bake. Marilyn’s joy was spending time at her home, hosting holiday parties and spending summers at the pool with her family, which grew year after year. Marilyn had a special gift and was able to help many people through difficult times with her spiritual wisdom. She was an angel on Earth and touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Marilyn is now home with the Lord. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard E. Aziz Sr., as well as her four children, Atty. Cynthia J. Aziz and her husband Joseph P. Russo, of Andover, Jennifer Kannan and her husband William of Methuen, Richard E. Aziz Jr. and his wife Patricia of Methuen, and Jason J. Aziz and his wife Brenda of Auburn, N.H. “Nana” will be sorely missed and forever remembered by her 11 grandchildren, William Kannan Jr. and his wife Meghan, Jeffrey Pepe and his fiancĂ©e Christina Leighton, Brittney Souza and her husband Adam, Jordyn Curcio and her husband Frank, Amanda Aziz, Richard E. Aziz III, Luke Aziz, Corporal Daniel Aziz, USMC, Farrah Kannan, Jaci Aziz, and Remy Aziz; as well as her five great-grandchildren, Tessa Therrien, Alexis Rose Aziz, Tucker Kannan, Cal Kannan, and Eleanor Souza. Marilyn also leaves a sister, Ginger Burchill of Dracut, Mass., and a brother Louis Allard of Tennessee; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Private services were held and provided by Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in the memory of Marilyn J.
