Obituary Lora M. Slabaugh 85 of Alliance passed away peacefully on January 31, 2020 after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born on November 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur R. and Evelyn G. (Laughlin) Slabaugh. A 1952 graduate of Alliance High School she began working shortly after at Robertson Heating Supply Company. She began work in the Audit Department. “I worked for John for a week” and retired from the Data Processing Department in 1998 after 46 years of service. An avid golfer, she loved the Purple Raiders, Indians, Browns, Cavs and was also a Duke Blue Devil fan. She was a 57-year member of Beta Sigma Fi sorority and was a 22 member/volunteer of the Alliance Area Senior Center and served on its Board of Directors for 5 years. Survivors include her nephews Rick of Sebring and Scott of Yangon City, Myanmar as well as several cousins in the Alliance and Malvern areas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Richard Slabaugh in 1981. Per her request there will be no services and cremation has taken place. Burial at Marlboro Cemetery will take place at a later date. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
