Lillie’s Obituary Rayne – Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Cunningham C.M.E. Church for Lillie Eglin, 80, who died February 16, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Services will be conducted by Rev. Louis P. Curry. Interment will be in Community Garden Cemetery. She is survived by her mother, Hattie Eaglin; two sons, Dena Eglin (Bridget Solomon) of Jeanerette, LA, Pastor Micheal (Carlotta) Eaglin of Cade, LA; one daughter, Ella (Roy) Butts of Jeanerette, LA; two Godchildren, Regina Eaglin and Lionel Pleasant of Rayne, LA; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd W. Eaglin; grandfather, George Goodwill; grandmother, Ellen White Goodwill; two uncles, Walter Sr. and Leonce “Bo Peep” Goodwill; one sister, Nettie M. Comeaux and two sons, Randall and Donald Eaglin. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Cunningham C.M.E. Church from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Read More
