Obituary Mrs. Lillie Carver Chaffin, age83, of Beechgrove, TN, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Nashville. Born in Jasper, TN, Mrs. Chaffin was a daughter of the late Doc Robert Carver and Hazel Lorene Hix Carver. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chaffin was preceded in death by 2 children, Edward Toney and Deborah Kirby; 3 brothers, William Robert Carver, Doyle Lebron Carver and Abner Kirk Carver. Survived by her husband of 56 years, Leo Chaffin of Beechgrove; 2 daughters, Alice Chaffin of Shelbyville, Ruby Dyer of Murfreesboro; a son, Ernie Chaffin of Beechgrove; a sister, Sarah Jane Luper of Mt. Juliet, TN; a brother, Donnie Carver of Stevenson, AL; several grandchildren, great grand children and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 11am – 2pm at Lawrence Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Rocky Glade Cemetery in Rutherford Co. For those who wish, Memorial Donations may be made to the funeral expenses of Mrs. Chaffin.
