Lilas’ Obituary Lilas M. O’Neill, age 92, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020. She was born July 24, 1927 in Carlinville, IL, the daughter of the late Temperance and Elmer Straub. Lilas is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, James, daughter, Katherine Agner and son, Dennis O’Neill; beloved mother of Connie (Richard Boughner) O’Neill and Carolyn (James) Nacy; grandmother of Kate E. Nacy, Dr. Emily A. Nacy, Brian Agner (Lucy) and Thomas Agner (Kay); great grandmother of Sherilynn, Stacy, Caleb and Bryson; dearest sister of James Straub (the late Lorna) and the late Sally Blunt. The O’Neill family will receive friends Monday, March 9, 10-11 am at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Lilas will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI. In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations to Beaumont Foundation, please specify in memo line, Fullness of Life, AL.
