Obituary Lena A. (Crisi) Gannitto passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020. She was 86 and resided in Eagleville, PA. She was retired from the former Sacred Heart Hospital as the Director of Materials Management and SPD. Additionally, she was a parishioner of Visitation BVM Church and a previous member of ABWA and the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader, especially romance novels. Lena was born in Monessen, PA on June 28, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia (Gatti) Crisi. She was proceeded in death by her husband, John J. Gannitto, her brothers, Romeo Crisi, Isidore Crisi, and Emil S. Crisi; all from Monessen, PA and her sister Anna (Crisi) Leonardis, from McKeesport, PA. She is survived by her son, John, daughter, Kathleen (Kathy), grandson, Joseph (Joe) as well as many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pet (dog) Chewbacca, as she loving referred to him as her “shit pot”. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10 AM at Visitation BVM Lower Church on Trooper Rd. Her viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, February 11 from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday, February 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Volpe Funeral Home located at 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd., East Norriton, PA. Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
