Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley, Alabama. He was reared in West Point, Georgia by his father, Mr. Donald Brooks; in a loving and tightknit home along with his siblings. “Kenny” as he was known throughout his childhood, was educated in the Troup County School System; starting at West Point Elementary and ending at Troup County Comprehensive High School. He was an Entrepreneur and studied under Moorish Science and Moorish Law and became known as “Zen the Shaman”. On Wednesday, January 29, 2020; he departed this life at Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Johnson. Survivors include his father, Donald Brooks: siblings: Pepper Brooks, Aldes Brooks, Kristie (Ronald) Flournoy, Chynna Glaze, Lacie Brooks, Don Reco (Gabriel) Glaze, Devonise Johnson, and Brandon Johnson; uncles, Danny Brooks, Tommy Johnson, Eddie Johnson and Jamie Johnson; aunt, Gladys Ratchford; special step-mother, Ethel Glaze; special cousin, Donavian Brooks; special friends: Manuel Lester and Lairiann Davies Stepp; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Service will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. Pastor Eddie Reece, III will officiate. The family will be at their home at 105 North Barnard Avenue.
