Obituary Kimberly Baker was tragically taken from us on February 22, 2020. Kim, born February 5, 1953 was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Robert “Bob” and Martha Baker Jr. She leaves behind her only daughter Jaime Ingram, and beloved grandchildren Cole, Sara, Caitlin and Samantha Selders, and many loving friends. She was a proud graduate of Manchester High School Class of 1971. As a single Mom she put herself through Hammel Business College and had a long career as a secretary (and many un-degreed job titles) in the construction field. For the last thirteen years Kim worked as a secretary at the Community Health Center where she was loved by all. Everybody who met Kim loved her. She was a great and loyal friend who could really take a poke. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Growing up she had a very extensive music collection, including all of the Beatles albums. Her favorite Beatle was John Lennon, along with loving Leonard Cohen. Growing up my Mom and I had a game who could say “It’s the Mamas and Papas” playing first, and I’ll forever hear her saying it when they’re on. She was an avid reader, her favorite genre was mysteries. Authors like Robert B. Parker and Elmore Leonard were her favorite. She loved animals and fed every kind from stray cats, to the birds and squirrels in the neighborhood. Number one on her bucket list was to see an alligator in the wild. She was not only able to accomplish this on her first cruise trip to the Bahamas shortly before her passing, she also kissed a baby one on the head. She loved music and stories by Jimmy Buffet, Margaritaville being her favorite. She always dreamed of finishing her days in Key West, but would never leave us.
