Kathy Teter October 17, 1947 – February 21, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Kathy Teter, 72, of Bevier, MO, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Boone Medical Center in Columbia, MO surrounded by her family. Kathy was born on October 17, 1947, in Macon, MO, the daughter of James Hobart Hamilton and Irma Mae (Gorham) Mayfield. She was united in marriage to Herb Morris and to this union was born two children, Lock and Misti. Kathy was later united in marriage to Charles Teter on August 11, 1980, in Miami, OK and gained a son Jim. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bevier and worked for many years for the Pear Tree in Bevier and the Rolling Pin Bakery in Glasgow, Missouri. Kathy enjoyed cooking, watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and especially watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed quilting and day trips with the ladies. Kathy is survived by three children, Lock Morris and his wife Amber of Macon, Misti Harrington and her husband Kyle of Macon, and Jim Teter and his wife Jackie of Virginia, five grandchildren, Garon Morris, Tucker, Chase and Macey Harrington and Jessica Teter. She is also survived by two sister-in-law’s Jean Teter of Columbia and Janice Teter of Macon and nieces, nephews, extended family and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Herb, and her second husband, Charlie, on June 7, 1999. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, February 24, 2020, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Rev. Scott Dalrymple officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery south of Bevier. Visitation will be from 3-5 pm, Sunday evening, at the funeral home in Macon. The family suggests memorials to Union Cemetery which may be left at the funeral home. Print Obituary
