Obituary Mrs. Kathie Lynne Bailey Kurtz, 46 of Canton and formerly of Abingdon, passed away at 4:58 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her home. She was born November 29, 1973 in Galesburg, the daughter of Shirley Smith Bailey. She married Terry Kurtz on October 13, 2017 in Fulton County. Kathie is survived by her husband, Terry: two sons, Earl Ray Ross III of Springfield and Roger Ross of Canton; one daughter, Regan Ross of Bloomington; two brothers, John Bailey of Missouri and Jason (and Michelle) Barry of Abingdon; and one sister, Kiley Barry of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother. Kathie grew up in Abingdon and graduated from Abingdon High School in 1992. She had formally worked as a cook at County Market in Lewistown. She loved to read and cook. As she requested, cremation will be accorded and no services are planned.
