Obituary Joyce Aloma Yates, 91, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 27, 2020. She was born April 18, 1928 in Holmes County, FL. Joyce owned and operated Yates Family Shoe Store, served as Springfield City Commissioner from 1986 to 1993, and served on the Springfield Housing Authority Board. She was a co-founder of Gulf Coast Seminary and attained a Doctorate of Religious Education. Joyce was a longtime, dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Panama City.
