Obituary Jose L. Luna, 69 of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan. He was born on April 12, 1950 to Rosendo and Graciela (Lopez) Luna Sr. in Mexico. On December 9, 1970 he married Melania Vasquez. He was a huge Dodgers fan, loved baseball, gardening, horses, and fishing, but his greatest love of all was his family, especially his grandchildren. Jose is survived by his wife, Melania, his father, Rosendo Sr., his children; Marilu (Jessy) Padilla, Rosa Luna, Lupe (Vicente) Lira, Josephina (Francisco) Alcala, and Araceli (Homar) Medina, his grandchildren; Luis Fernando, Joshua, Gabriela, Carlos, Luis, Yulissa, Dazlynn, Daniel, Ruby, Emily, Selainy, Sophia, Valentino, Anastasia, and Avianna, his great grandchildren; Anthony, Alizee, and Amy, and his 10 siblings. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Iglesia Emanuel Church located at 1300 W. 10th St. Waukegan, IL 60085 and again from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Warren Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 21,2020 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
