John F.’s Obituary John Francis Bierschenk, age 67 of Temple, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in a New Braunfels care center after an extended illness. Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM, February 15th prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Bierschenk was born on May 17, 1952 in Temple to Roman and Ruth Bierschenk. He was a 1970 graduate of Temple High School. John had a passion for art, Southwest and American Indian culture, and he especially loved Santa Fe, NM. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Therapy from The College of Santa Fe. John is survived by two sisters, Cecelia DeLozier of Weatherford and Rosemary Barta of Wimberley, and three brothers, Ed of San Antonio, Bill of Cumming, Georgia and Fred of Pflugerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to the Saint Mary’s Catholic School. Read More
