Obituary John Allen Davis, beloved husband of 70 years to Martha “Anne” (nee Bryan), loving father of Karen (John) Beall, Linda (Terry) Donovan and Jane (Mark) Welch; adoring grandfather of Zane (Keli) Beall and Troy Beall, Jackson and Mason Welch. Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alma (Van Arsdale) Davis. Passed away on February 27, 2020 at the age of 94. He was a loving and giving husband and father. He was very proud of being a World War II veteran in the Battle of the Bulge and receiving the Purple Heart. After the war, he became a member of the United States Army Band. He received his PhD in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. John worked for the Veterans Administration of Dayton and he taught at the University of Dayton, he then served as the Director of the Mental Health Center of Good Samaritan Hospital of Dayton, and taught at Wright State University and served as an adjunct professor at Miami University. John and Anne travelled the world extensively. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
