Jesse Lavon Martin, son of Russell E. and Trina D. (Shaum) Martin, was born on Nov. 23, 2016 in Fulton County, Indiana. He departed this life peacefully in his mother’s arms following a sudden illness after liver transplant on Feb. 26, 2020 at the age of 3 years, 3 months, and 3 days. Surviving besides his parents are one sister Luana Ruth (6), brothers Josiah Lyn (4) and Andrius Joel (11 1/2 Months); his paternal grandparents Elias Jr. and Judith Martin of Goshen and maternal grandparents Marlin and Jane Shaum of Akron; great grandparents Elias and Ida Martin of Goshen, Elvin and Naomi Martin of Nappanee, Wilma Shaum of Goshen, and Mable Martin of Goshen; 11 uncles, 3 aunts, and 4 cousins. Jesse was preceded in death by his uncle Daniel Shaum and great grandfathers Dana Shaum and Dale Martin. The family deeply mourns the loss of their little son, but are resigned to the will of the One who knoweth all things. Prayer service will take place at 8:30 am, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Pine Grove School 12745 W. 800 S. Rochester, Indiana 46975. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church 25012 County Road 38 Goshen, Indiana 46526 with home ministry officiating. The internment will follow in the Yellow Creek Wisler Cemetery. Visitation hours 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Pine Grove School 12745 W. 800 S. Rochester, Indiana 46975 and 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm, Monday, March 2, 2020 also at the Pine Grove School. Donations can be made in his memory Christian Aid Ministries P.O.
